This 24-month program provides the opportunity for the city to embark on efforts to close the racial gap in homeownership by revealing historical patterns of discrimination that may lead to racial inequalities. As of 2020, the homeownership rate for Black residents in West Palm Beach is still much lower than white homeownership rates at 40.3% compared to 56.7%. As a participant of Closing the Gap the city will identify and implement strategies to reduce these racial disparities in homeownership.

Calling all adventure seekers and space aficionados, it’s time to ascend on a first-of-its-kind immersive odyssey into Space. The highly-acclaimed exhibit will transport you on a journey as you roam freely inside a full-scale 3D replica of the International Space Station (ISS), float in space alongside the astronauts and admire breathtaking sights of Earth that only a handful have ever seen before — all without ever leaving the ground. Tickets start at $25 for children (8-12), $45 for ages 13+ Under the age of 8 will not be admitted

  The My Streetscape Summer Research Institute is a paid interdisciplinary education program on urban technology and trust organized by the Center for Smart Streetscapes (CS3). The program is designed for high school students who wish to hone their interests in engineering and the social sciences, regardless of their level of experience or knowledge.       For six weeks, students learn and conduct research alongside Florida Atlantic University and Columbia University scholars to develop their academic and professional skills.
