You are cordially invited to join Path to College for an evening of cuisine and connection at Shine & Dine: A Virtual Dinner Event!
About this Event
At Path to College our mission is to create an upswell of community support, enrichment, and most importantly connection, around our students. We challenge our students with opportunities for growth and leadership development with the ultimate goal of achieving a debt-free, top-tier college education.
Some of the more nuanced skills we want our students to leave our fellowship with is the ability to garner a community of support around them, to develop deep relationships with others, and to become influencers of good in their communities, homes, and schools. To do this successfully requires considerate navigation of various social and professional scenes which can be…sticky, as you may know! And for that reason, this year we are unveiling our next enriching event:

JOIN US AT THIS VIRTUAL DINNER EVENT TO LEARN THE INS AND OUTS OF DINING ETIQUETTE, THE ART OF CONVERSATION, TOAST MAKING AND PROFESSIONAL NETWORKING. HELP OUR STUDENTS GAIN AND POLISH THESE VALUABLE AND OFTEN OVERLOOKED SKILLS BY SHARING YOUR EXPERIENCES!
What to Expect
This is a virtual dinner event where you will learn about formal dining etiquette, creative conversation starters, receive tips for networking, and how to make a toast!
Our dinner partner, Aioli, will be providing delicious meals for our student Fellows and your choice of dinner is included in the ticket price. You can choose to pick-up your meal or have it delivered the day prior.
During our virtual dinner event, our host and expert in all things etiquette, Jacqueline Whitmore, will provide instruction on Continental and European dining formalities.
You will be virtually seated at a table with our student Fellows along with other professionals. Learning to navigate the banquet rooms of luncheons and galas is just as important as landing that great first job. Knowing which fork is for what, the silent signals to servers that can be so dumbfounding, and conversation pitfalls will help prepare our students for the board rooms and tables of influence in their future.
Our team will provide guided prompts for conversation and networking. You can count on sharing your own college journey, career highlights, and any professional advice! Each participant will have the opportunity to practice making a toast, as well.
Please RSVP by Friday, February 12th for yourself, make it a date night with your partner, or plan for the whole family to join! Select your meal options from Aioli and decide on delivery or pick up.
