Despite Florida’s rightward tilt in recent election cycles, progressives were hopeful they could make inroads at the state level in 2020 and flip the state for Joe Biden. Instead, Republicans flipped five state House seats and Biden lost by a larger margin than expected. This panel will examine what went wrong and the next steps for progressives as they reckon with a serious need to rebuild operations in Florida.
