The Palm Beach Eco-Tourism Association and Visit Palm Beach are excited for another environmental community event. We are also pleased to announce we have partnered with The Palm Beach County department of Parks and Recreation for this and future events.
Our group of volunteers will meet at around 8:45-9am at JIm Barry Lightharbor Park. Volunteers can bring their own kayaks to join the paddle/cleanup or equipment can be rented from Visit Palm Beach. Volunteers receive 50% off rentals at www.visitpalmbeach.com. We will depart shortly after 9:00am and embark towards Phil Foster Park. Along the way we will pick up rubbish and marine debris, share some stories along the way as well. This event will be a longer paddle than the last event.
We will land on the shoreline along Phil Foster Park facing Peanut Island. When in the park we will continue our cleanup, conduct a short history/eco-tour of the land and along the way assess the park to notice any areas that could use attention during future events. This is a great opportunity for the public to visit our beautiful natural areas, give back to the environment and meet like minded community members.
We will conclude around 12:00pm.
Volunteers may RSVP through the Facebook event but we are asking that you also RSVP through the Palm Beach County Community Event Registration page
